Two Generations in Insurance Technology.
Axxis Systems builds core software for insurers, and nothing else. The lineage goes back to 1973, when Juan Antonio Mayoral Orellana, a Spanish engineer, began automating insurance companies — in Panama first, then Venezuela and Spain — and to 1980, when SIS went on sale as one of the first packaged insurance systems in Spanish-speaking America. His son, Tony Mayoral, founded Axxis Systems in 2004 at Panama's City of Knowledge, absorbed the companies his father had built, rebuilt the platform for the web era and expanded the group to offices in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. SISos, the eleventh generation of that product line, is the result: every line of business and every department, through to the general ledger, in one system — built and run by people who have run insurers.
